The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey is pleased to announce yet another
jury trial victory on behalf of one of our clients. In our most recent
case, Attorney Jared M. Thompson secured an acquittal for a client facing
four felony drug charges.
The client stood accused of attempting to smuggle prescription drugs to
an inmate, her relative, in open court. Key to this case was Attorney
Thompson's cross-examination of the prosecution's witnesses.
After four grueling days of trial, Attorney Thompson asked the judge to
dismiss all charges based on insufficient evidence. Due the reasonable
doubt that had been established during the cross examinations, the judge
agreed. The allegations would not go to jury, but instead were dismissed
on the spot, clearing our client of all charges.
This case is just another example of the aggressive advocacy our firm is
ready provide to our clients. In this case, our client was not a career
criminal, nor was she guilty of any offense. Facing the possibility of
numerous felony penalties was especially distressing for her. Attorney
Thompson ensured that an accurate depiction events was put forth and,
in the end, she walked free before a jury was even needed.
We congratulate Attorney Thompson on yet another jury trial victory. We're
confident that his commitment to the rights and needs of the accused will
continue to yield just results for our clients.
