The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey is proud to announce that Attorney Jared M. Thompson has secured our firm's latest jury trial victory. In a recent decision, Attorney Thompson's client has found Not Guilty by a jury of his peers on four counts related to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon causing Great Bodily Harm charge.
The trial lasted eight days. Over that time, Attorney Thompson aggressively asserted the circumstances of the incident in question and countered the accusations of violence against his client by the prosecution. Even though great bodily injury had been inflicted, Attorney Thompson emphatically put forth the incident was not a result of his client's actions and that he had merely acted to protect himself.
In the end, the jury deliberated for less than one hour. When they returned, they were in agreement with Attorney Thompson's argument: his client had acted in self-defense and should be acquitted on all counts.
This decision marks just the latest victory for Attorney Thompson, who has been staunchly defending clients at The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey for several years now. He has been admitted of the California Bar and the U.S. District Court. He is also a member of the California Public Defenders Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the California DUI Lawyers Association, among other legal organizations. In 2012, he also received an Avvo Clients' Choice Award in the Criminal Defense category.
We congratulate Attorney Thompson on this latest victory and are certain he will continue to provide advocacy for each and every one of his clients in their time of need.
