Kyle Humphrey has a solid reputation in the legal community. He has represented law
enforcement personnel and he has defended the loved ones of attorneys,
judges, and lawyers. His clients find him mostly through word of mouth
from his many successful cases. With over 30 years in criminal defense,
and his first 7 years as a prosecutor, he is able to reach the best possible
outcome for your situation, no matter what your circumstances. He is known
for hard work and winning tough cases in Bakersfield, which has a reputation
for being one of the most difficult places to be accused of a crime.
Jared M. Thompson has been practicing criminal defense for several years and also has the
advantage of having worked in a prosecutor's office before beginning
his hands-on training with Kyle Humphrey. He handles a wide variety of
criminal cases, with focus in the areas of DUI, domestic violence, and
narcotics cases. Mr. Thompson also represents individuals who have been
injured and have had their civil rights violated. He has successfully
defended his clients in jury trials, court hearings, and administrative
law matters. Mr. Thompson, like Mr. Humphrey, believes that compassion
and understanding for our clients is necessary to our role as advocates.
Mr. Thompson is a member of the California DUI Lawyers Association.
We are a small firm and when we take on your case, we determine which attorney
will be working it based on the complexity and focus. We handle federal
criminal matters and are on the Federal Conflict Defender panel. We will
do the homework to know the judges, system and lawyers in other counties
and jurisdictions which will be opposing us in your case.
Kyle Humphrey is a past president of the Kern County Criminal Defense Section
of the Bar and is often requested to provide expert legal advice on cases
in the media.
