Kyle J. Humphrey

Before embarking upon his legal career, Kyle J. Humphrey graduated from San Diego State University for his undergraduate education and then went on to Western University School of Law. During his time at Western State, having received recognition for scholarship and several awards for high marks in his courses, Mr. Humphrey worked in a number of fields including construction, landscaping, hospitality, and security before finally clerking full time for the San Diego District Attorney's office. Upon his graduation, Mr. Humphrey went to work for Los Angeles County as a prosecutor. After six months, his career took him to Bakersfield where he continued as a Kern County prosecutor in 1986.

Mr. Humphrey's illustrious law career includes seven years at the Kern County District Attorney's office as a prosecutor. He began as a misdemeanor trial attorney, taking over 30 cases to jury verdict while there. He moved on to felony trials where he handled narcotics cases, theft and fraud cases, burglaries and robberies, embezzlement cases, among others. After mastering this area, he moved on to the major crimes unit to handle the most serious of offenses for a number of years. These cases included sexual assault, child molestation, kidnapping, and all forms of criminal homicides from execution style killings to drunk driving related deaths. It was at this point in his career he had taken over 100 cases to jury verdict and stopped counting.

At this point, it was 1993 and Mr. Humphrey felt it was time to move into private practice to continue furthering his career. He opened an office where he practiced exclusively criminal law as a defender for the following 16 years. In this time, Mr. Humphrey has taken well over an additional 100 cases to jury verdict, and assisted numerous other clients in other manners of disposition. His cases have included everything from an overloaded dump truck all the way to murder cases of every variety. In addition to criminal case, Mr. Humphrey has begun handling selected personal injury cases as part of his desire to use the best possible skills to achieve a fair result for every client. For Mr. Humphrey, it is personal.
