  • I am forever grateful

I was facing a domestic violence charge when I contacted Mr. Humphrey. At the time, he was amidst a high-profile case, yet, he still took the time to meet with me and inform me about the entire process. He put me instantly at ease. I was always informed of any developments, and he was always prompt in responding to any questions I may have had. In my profession, I require a security clearance, and a negative outcome in my case would have jeopardized my employment. Mr. Humphrey was able to get my case dismissed, and I am forever grateful. I would not hesitate to contact him again if the need ever arises.

  • I cannot emphasize enough how pleased I was with Mr. Humphrey's defense.
In my youth I got into a very serious legal conflicts that left me with "2 strikes" on my record. However, for 30 years now I have lived a life free of any type of involvement whatsoever with the criminal justice system. Despite this fact, this year began with me being charged with a single count of domestic violence, which was a felony. I suddenly found myself in the most serious fight of my life, with a possible third strike life sentence hanging over my head. I quickly began to look for a "pit-bull" of an attorney, someone with a lot of success in fighting the local DA. One name quickly rose to the top of my short lift: Kyle Humphrey. When I first met Mr. Humphrey for a no-cost consultation and laid out the details of my situation, I rapidly became convinced that my choice to retain him and his expertise – at perhaps the lowest and potentially most devastating point in my life – was very clear; and I have never regretted that decision. Within a few weeks he called me and said the DA had reduced the charge to a misdemeanor. While I was no longer looking at a possible third strike, life prison sentence, I still was facing some serious jail time and very large fines. Mr. Humphrey took care of everything for me. I did not even have to appear in court. He steadfastly kept up the fight on my behalf. After six months the DA conceded that they could not prevail against me with Kyle Humphrey as my counsel, and they dropped all charges! Obviously it cannot be promised that the outcome of your case will be the same as mine. However, you can fully expect that Kyle Humphrey will fight diligently and aggressively for any client who is fortunate enough to get to retain him and his staff to do legal battle on their behalf. Fair warning: be completely truthful with him, even in those areas that might make your look poorly, guilty, etc, etc. He cannot fully fight for your right sif he does not have all the facts. Plus he has an excellent "BS" detector. As he puts it, he can sell anything, if he first believes it himself. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased I was with Mr. Humphrey's defense.

  • I was very impressed with their expertise.
I was hanging out with my friends one night at a party and had some drinks. I felt like I was completely capable of driving safely but was stopped on my way home. The officer told me he thought I was drunk driving and made me perform these balancing tests on the side of the road. I was shocked when he told me that I was above the legal limit and arrested me! I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey based on the recommendation of a trusted family friend. Kyle and Jared went to work on my case immediately and began preparing for the DMV hearing and the court case. Jared was able to convince the DMV to set aside the suspension of my driving license. This allowed me to get back my driver's license without paying a fee and avoided having my driving privilege suspended. This is apparently rare. The two clerks at the DMV said they had never seen it before. Jared then went to court and negotiated a reduced charge that kept a DUI off my driving record. I was very impressed with their expertise in the law applicable to DUIs. I greatly benefited from the hard work and the attention I received from The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
  • I know that my life is back on track.
My family owns a local business and I grew up in Bakersfield so I've heard Kyle Humphrey's name a lot over the past twenty years. I ended up getting arrested for domestic violence twice in three years because I was in a very bad marriage with a woman who knew how to work the system. When I got in trouble I heard from several people to go to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey. In the first case, Mr. Humphrey and his team went to work immediately, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson were able to get the first case dismissed entirely. I couldn't believe it when the District Attorney filed a second case against me. I believe my ex-wife was trying to get an advantage in our divorce proceeding and was using the system against me. Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson again went to work right away. The District Attorney took a hard line "the woman is always right" stance, and would not look at the evidence we had that my ex was working the system, so I was forced to go to trial. My attorneys did not back down and when it was time to go to trial the DA caved in on the charge and my case was dismissed. Today, my divorce is over, and the nightmare of the accusations has ended. I know that my life is back on track because Kyle and Jared went to bat for me and insisted on the truth. I am keeping them on speed dial just in case she takes another shot at me. It is worth the money.

  • I am very thankful for the hard work.
I was arrested on three counts of attempted murder and for shooting at an occupied car. Someone I have known for a long time tried to run me and my wife off the road. I fired some warning shots to scare the guy off… and I was the one who ended up getting arrested. I could not believe the charges when I saw them. The charges could have put me away in prison for 25 years to life. My family and I heard that Kyle Humphrey was the attorney to see. My family spoke to Kyle's Office and they were able to take the case. Attorney Jared Thompson got started right away in talking to the District Attorney about my case, reviewing the evidence, and getting a private investigator to find all the facts. At first the District Attorney did not want to make me an offer, then the D.A. made me an offer that would have put me in prison for several years. The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey was ready to fight the case all the way through jury trial. I did not want to take the case to trial but I wanted a better offer. Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson were able to convince the D.A. to give me a fair plea deal that my family and I could accept. I would highly recommend The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey to anyone who is facing serious charges. I am very thankful for the hard work, dedication, and knowledge of Mr. Humphrey and his office.
  • I would recommend Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson to anyone.
I called the police one day because someone was trying to break into my truck. When the cops arrived, they treated me like I was the bad guy. They came inside my home, they searched around, and they questioned me. The day ended with my being arrested for being under the influence of drugs while armed with a loaded gun… the gun the cops found was in a completely separate room of the house! All because I called the cops for help. I hired Kyle Humphrey to protect my freedom and my clean record. He went to court, confronted the cops who had harassed me, and got my case dismissed. To my surprise, the D.A. refiled the charges a few years later. Even though I had moved out of state and on with my life the D.A. still wanted to get me. Jared Thompson confronted the cops and the D.A. a second time. Even though the cops had come up with "new" evidence, Mr. Thompson was still able to show I was innocent. The case dismissed a second time and I have finally been able to move on with my life. Hiring The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey made the difference. I would recommend Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson to anyone looking for hard-working, dedicated, and capable attorneys
  • Kyle and his investigator put many long, hard hours.
I was the focus of an investigation by the Sheriff's Department who was convinced that I was a major cultivator of marijuana. This was not true and I could not plead guilty to a crime I didn't commit. I hired Kyle Humphrey and he put together a team effort to develop my side of the story, which was the truth. Instead of putting me through a costly preliminary hearing and jury trial to achieve justice, Kyle and his investigator put many long, hard hours into building my case, which was presented to the prosecutor, who, after reviewing the evidence Kyle assembled, dismissed the entire case.
  • I needed the best and got the best.
Kyle was ready to go to trial and they knew it. He has good people helping him. I was given an opportunity to spend a lot of time with Kyle and to see how hard he worked. I need the best and got the best. No B.S. This is the one and only attorney I will ever use or recommend.

  • I am very pleased with The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
I got into an argument with my wife over some personal matters. We exchanged words and she left my house angry. A few hours later, the cops showed up and told me that my wife had reported that I had abused her and threatened her with a gun. I was arrested and the cops took several of my hunting rifles. I knew about the excellent reputation of Mr. Humphrey and his office. I hired The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey to represent me and to protect my freedom and my gun rights. Mr. Thompson took my case to the D.A. and showed them that the domestic violence charge was false. He was able to resolve my case with an infraction and a small fine. He also got my rifles back for me and made sure that my case would not hurt my right to have guns. I am very pleased with The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and the representation they gave me
  • Mr. Humphrey was aggressive and challenged the government's evidence.
I hired Kyle Humphrey to represent me in an alcohol related case. Mr. Humphrey was aggressive and challenged the government's evidence. Law enforcement presented inaccurate information which was exposed. I would recommend Mr. Humphrey to anyone who wants a serious lawyer.

  • I was impressed by the aggressive and hardworking representation.
I hired The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey to represent me in a misdemeanor case filed against me by the District Attorney. Mr. Thompson took my case to jury trial and got the misdemeanor charge dismissed. I was impressed by the aggressive and hardworking representation I received from Mr. Humphrey's Office. He is so laid back.
  • He saved my job and my family.
I was involved in an accident. I panicked because my license was suspended. After I made sure the occupants of the other vehicle were OK, I left the scene. The government charged me with felony hit and run because the other people claimed they were injured. I hired Kyle Humphrey and he went to bat for me! Mr. Humphrey challenged the photographic identification and looked into the "injuries" claimed by the driver and passenger and proved them to be exaggerated. I was looking at several years in prison with my record. Mr. Humphrey was able to get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor. He saved my job and my family.
  • I was impressed by the keen interest and concern shown by Mr. Humphrey's.
I was impressed by the keen interest and concern shown by Mr. Humphrey's office. Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Thompson took great pains to explain the developments in my case and were very patient. My questions and phone calls were promptly returned. The office staff was very courteous and helpful during my time of need
  • He worked on my case for a long time; as long as it required to get the best possible result.
I was charged with a serious sex offense that carried many of years in prison and required registration as a sex offender. These charges would have ruined my life. I hired Kyle Humphrey and he worked on my case for a long time; as long as it required to get the best possible result. In the end, I was spared the penalty of sex registration and being targeted on Megan's Law website. Mr. Humphrey was in no hurry to work a deal. He prepared my case for trial and, at the last minute, the prosecutor was willing to back off registration and reduce the charge.

  • Kyle Humphrey worked tireless to get to the bottom of my case.
Some juveniles who stole property in a series of residential burglaries told the police that they "fenced" the property to me. I hired Kyle Humphrey because my "Freedom and Movement Ride Shop", were at risk. Mr. Humphrey and his investigator launched a thorough investigation in order to prove that the juveniles were lying. After Kyle Humphrey completed his investigation, the district attorney was convinced that I had done nothing wrong and the case was dismissed before the preliminary hearing took place. Kyle Humphrey worked tireless to get to the bottom of my case.
  • Mr. Humphrey's hard work saved my family.
I was accused of improperly touching a teenage girl who attended a party where I lived. I had nothing to do with her, but she was drunk and became physically involved with another person. Her angry stepfather showed up at my residence and the girl pointed her finger at me. Before I knew it, I was arrested as a "child molester" and the end of my young life as I knew it. My family hired Kyle Humphrey and he took control of the situation. His investigator interviewed every single person that had any knowledge of the party and before I knew it, the district attorney realized that I wasn't the culprit. Mr. Humphrey's hard work saved my family the expense of a jury trial and I was able to resume my life as a free person.
  • Words cannot express what you did for our family.
Out of this mess, something wonderful did happen! I've never pushed my kids, as young adults, to go to Church since I assumed they would find their way back to praying on their own. I know that they prayed during these last two years but to watch them pray on their knees while giving thanks was overwhelming. Words cannot express what you did for our family. We all want to thank you for the you and your staff put into John's case. With Sincere Gratitude.
  • Kyle kept on working on my behalf until we achieved victory.
If you have been convicted of a felony and served your sentence in prison you can restore some of your civil rights. This is my story. I am a former law enforcement official and I was convicted many years ago for some acts that I did not consider to be violations of the law. This case was "high profile" as my troubles received a lot of publicity. I served a prison sentence and restructured my life. However, being a convicted felon and having served a prison sentence resulted in the loss of many of my civil rights. I hired Kyle Humphrey and we went to court. The first judge did not want to issue my certificate of rehabilitation because of the notoriety of the case and the second judge recused himself because he was a prosecutor when my case went to trial. Kyle kept on working on my behalf until we achieved victory as the court finally granted my petition of rehabilitation. I am now waiting for the governor to act favorably on my request for a pardon. I found that hiring an attorney who is persistent and never wanting to give up is crucial to the outcome of a case
  • Kyle Humphrey, saved my life.
I was charged with a felony hit and run for a situation where I just panicked and took off. I had never been in trouble before; I turned myself in the next day, and I was looking at three years in prison. My lawyer, Kyle Humphrey, saved my life. In these tough economic times I would have lost my job, my house and everything I worked for. Mr Humphrey was able to take my story to the DA and got me no jail time on a misdemeanor. I will be grateful to him and his staff forever for what he has done for me and my family.
  • They are awesome!
I came home for the summer from college and ended up getting into an accident when my car rolled into an electric gate. I could not find the owner of the property and it didn't seem like the gate was damaged. The next day the cops showed up asking questions and I was charged with hit and run. I was very scared because I had never been in trouble before and I knew this could mess up my education and career goals. I went to Kyle Humphrey's Office and they made me feel like they would fight for me. They immediately began talking to witnesses and working on my case. Attorney Jared Thompson called me a few weeks later and told me that everything was looking good for the upcoming court appearance. After that hearing, Jared called me and told me my case had been dismissed by the District Attorney's Office. I am now back at college and doing great. I would recommend Kyle and Jared to anyone looking for an attorney that is going to work and fight hard… they are awesome!

  • If you need a lawyer, you need to hire Kyle Humphrey
I made the mistake of marrying the wrong guy. He beat me and I kept thinking it would change, it didn't. He would get drunk and all the promises would be broken. I had no idea that when I finally fought back and got in a few blows for the ones he was giving me that I would be in jail for it. The cops took one look and because my ex looked the worse, I was the one who would be charged. They didn't care about what he did to me that time or in the past. Nobody seemed to care until I hired Kyle Humphrey. I was working in an environment where there are a lot of people in the know about attorneys and what goes on in the courts. They all told me to call Kyle Humphrey. Kyle told me I had no business pleading guilty to a crime I didn't commit, especially once that would haunt me the rest of my life. Both Kyle, and his associate Jared Thompson, were patient and went to court many times until the DA realized they had the wrong person as a defendant. My case was dismissed. It wasn't easy and it took a long time, but the result was worth waiting for. My advice, if you need a lawyer, you need to hire Kyle Humphrey.

  • I liked that there was no pressure and no tricks.
I am a good citizen, a good mother, and a good person. I was doing everything I was supposed to do and I got arrested when my ex-husband accused me of spousal abuse. We had been arguing about money for the children and when he walked away, I held his arm like you would normally do when you want someone to talk. I could not believe this was enough for me to be arrested hours later in front of my children. I was even more shocked when I was given a court date and was formally charged with a misdemeanor. I was angry and ashamed. I asked people I knew who had contacts in the legal business and everybody said to hire Kyle. His name came up more than anybody else's and everybody said if they were in trouble that is the person I would hire. I met with Kyle and he made me feel that if anybody could help, it would be him. He also told me no good lawyer will ever promise an outcome. I liked that there was no pressure and no tricks. He kept me informed, he kept going to court, and he got my case dismissed. If anybody asks me who the best lawyer is, it is Kyle Humphrey.
  • I will send anybody I know who gets a case to Kyle Humphrey.
I got stopped by the police for bad vehicle tags and registration. When I first went to court I was looking at time. I had a friend who had a serious felony case that Kyle Humphrey handled. My friend was pleased with how his case turned out so I knew that was a good sign. I met with Kyle and his staff and they told me to hang in there and they would get to me with the best possible outcome under the circumstances. I knew I had done wrong, I just wanted to be treated fairly. Kyle told me what steps to take to show the court that I was taking care of my problems and he was able to get the prosecutor to come off of jail time. I was glad to do community service to stay out of jail. Kyle took my case seriously and worked as hard as he would on a felony case. Like he told me, my case was the most serious case of all, because it was my case. He would treat it that way too. I will send anybody I know who gets a case to Kyle Humphrey.
  • I was very impressed.
I was relaxing at home one day when all of the sudden a bunch of cops showed up, banging on the door, telling me they had a warrant to search my house. I asked them if they were kidding, but this situation was far from funny. Apparently, an informant had told the cops that I was running a casino out of my house. I had some old slot machines that some friends and I would play around with, but none of them paid out, it was all for fun. The cops seized the machines and seized some old papers they said were proof that I was running a casino. The District Attorney filed felony charges against me! I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and they began working on my case. They filed paperwork in court to attack the search warrant the cops had. Mr. Humphrey had his associate Jared Thompson attack the search warrant. The government failed to provide the proof that the Judge required and the case was thrown out. I was very impressed with Mr. Thompson and the way Mr. Humphrey's firm aggressively fought my case. I will recommend The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey to anyone I know who has a run-in with the law
  • He is the best lawyer I ever met.
One night I lost my mind and ended up in jail and charged with felonies. My family asked around and found out that the attorney I needed was Kyle Humphrey. We made the right choice. Kyle understood how the mental health issues played a role in my case and made sure that we had all the documentation and material ready to share with the DA to settle my case. There was no question about me doing what the reports said, the question was why. Kyle was able to persuade the DA about the truth in my case and the DA was willing to make a great offer. I had lived by the law and done well until this, and it all counted. I ended up with a misdemeanor for credit time served. I got to keep my job. I got to be there for my family. I would tell everybody, if you have a criminal case, you have to hire Kyle Humphrey. He is the best lawyer I ever met.
  • You need to go to the Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
My ex-girlfriend got me caught up in a bad situation where I had to defend myself. We had dated for over three years when we broke up. We kept talking and one night she asked to me to come over. We went for a drive and when I took her home her new boyfriend was waiting for me. The next thing I knew the fight was on and I won. I know I shouldn't have fought but I didn't deserve to be charged with two felony strikes. I had never been in trouble before but I was looking at spending years in prison. I consulted a lot of attorneys and I knew as soon as I met Kyle Humphrey and Jared Thompson I had to have these guys defend me. They made me feel comfortable and I knew they would fight for me. They had an investigator get started interviewing witnesses and conducting background checks. Jared insisted on knowing every piece of evidence that might exist. The District Attorney would not budge off of the felonies and we had to set my case for jury trial. We actually started the trial, and because of our determination to fight the felony strikes all the way, I was able to take a plea bargain for simple misdemeanors, which is what I wanted all along. I ended up with community service hours instead of state prison. If you need a great trial attorney who will go the distance for you – you need to go to the Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
  • I am so glad I went to Kyle Humphrey's Office.
I was with some friends having a mellow night and had a few beers. I felt completely fine and sober so I decided to drive home. On my way home, I was stopped at an intersection that was blind to oncoming traffic in one direction. I didn't see any oncoming traffic, but when I started to turn, a CHP patrol car came barreling through the intersection. I had to move out of my lane to avoid being rear-ended. I was shocked when the CHP pulled me over for crossing over lane lines. It just went from bad to worse. The CHP arrested me for DUI. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey because I heard he was the best. I met with Jared Thompson and I was very impressed with his knowledge and motivation. Jared never quit on my case, not even when the District Attorney informed us that my blood alcohol was a .21. Jared kept fighting and kept digging into the evidence. It turns out the cops had used an expired blood kit to take my blood sample and the nurse had not taken enough blood. The District Attorney insisted the blood test was accurate so we set my case for jury trial. Jared put in a lot of hours preparing the case for trial and he really fought for me. He presented my case to the jury and told them despite such a high alcohol level the blood test could not be trusted. The jury hung on both counts and the judge declared a mistrial. After that, I was able to plea to a reduced charge and move on with my life. I am so glad I went to Kyle Humphrey's Office and I can assure anyone that my money was money well spent. I have complete confidence in Kyle and Jared
  • I am deeply appreciative of the effort Kyle and his team.
April 2012: I was barely over 18 when I got involved with a girl who was under 18. I knew her from the neighborhood and school and I never really thought about the fact that she was still under 18 when I turned 18. One night we were with some other people and she had sex with a couple of people including me. Everything seemed fine but I learned later that she got in trouble with her family and me and another guy got accused of rape and forcible sex acts in concert. We got together one night and there was a party and everybody consented to everything and everything was fine. The cops were called and I had very serious sex charges filed against me because she was under 18. I was looking at a lot of time and lifetime registration as a sex offender… this would have ruined my life and future. I heard about Kyle Humphrey and everyone said he was the attorney to have if you are charged with a sex offense. Kyle certainly lived up to his reputation – he went to work on my case, had a private investigator on it immediately, and presented all the facts to the District Attorney. It made all the difference having an attorney who knows how to handle these types of cases and who has a track record of successfully defending these types of charges at jury trial. In the end, Kyle was able to take care of my case with a short amount of time in custody compared to the time I was facing. More importantly, he got me through this nightmare without having to register as a sex offender. I made a mistake but that mistake will not brand me for the rest of my life. I can move on with my life and my future is wide open. I am deeply appreciative of the effort Kyle and his team put into my case and I recommend him to anyone facing sex offense charges.
  • I hired him and would again.
I was in trouble for domestic violence and drunk driving with a prior. I hired Kyle and he got me a great outcome. I have some work release to do, but Kyle got most of the charges dismissed and cared about me enough to confront me about my alcohol problem. I started AA and it has helped me a lot. Kyle was the guy my family and friends said they would hire for themselves or their kids. I hired him and would again, if I ever needed him for a loved one.
  • Kyle Humphrey is a great lawyer.
I was looking at 6 years in prison and a strike for beating up a guy who had been messing with my 16 year old sister. The public defender tried to help but he had so many cases that I knew he could not put the time into my case. I asked around and everybody said the lawyer to get was Kyle Humphrey. The minute I met him I knew he understood my case and what had to happen. He spent a long time with me on my first meeting. He was able to show the prosecutor that the broken eye socket could have happened before and that the "victim" was not a law abiding citizen. I plead out on a misdemeanor and kept from being a striker or even a felon. I think Kyle Humphrey is a great lawyer.
  • Having The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey on my side made all the difference.
I was out with some friends one night and had a few drinks. I felt normal and thought I could drive home. On the way, I got stopped by a cop because he said I was speeding and driving crazy. A speeding ticket was the least of my problems! The cop had me do a bunch of tests and then told me my breath alcohol level was a .14. I got hauled to jail but as soon as I got out I called The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey. I met with Jared Thompson and he got to work on my case immediately. He and Kyle really made me feel good about my case and I knew they were going to do everything they could to help me. Jared went the DMV hearing and was able to get my driver's license suspension set aside. He also went to court for me several times and talked to the District Attorney about my case. Ultimately, I was able to plea to a reduced charge with no jail time, no work release, no ankle bracelet, and keep my driver's license. I am almost done with college and thanks to Jared's hard work I will not have my license suspended or have a DUI on my record when I start applying for jobs. Having The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey on my side made all the difference
  • I am very grateful for the work performed.
Because of two prior DUI's, I am very careful about having anything to drink and then driving. I went out one night and had dinner with a friend. I had a couple drinks and drove home because I felt fine and I only lived a few miles from the restaurant. I couldn't believe it when a police officer pulled me over for "swerving"… all I had done was drive around a couple potholes in the road. I really couldn't believe it when the officer was the same cop who had arrested me for a DUI years before. The officer remembered me and assumed the worst. I got charged with a 3rd DUI and was very scared. Not only do I have to drive for my career but I was looking at serious jail time. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and met with Jared Thompson. Jared seemed really knowledgeable and aggressive and he did an amazing job for me. First, he went to the DMV hearing and was able to show that I did not have anywhere close to a .08 BAC when I was driving. The DMV set my suspension aside and I was saved from two years without a driver's license. Jared was also able to negotiate a reduced charge that kept my license safe and didn't involve any jail, work release, or community service. I am very grateful for the work performed at The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and will recommend Jared to anyone I know who gets in trouble for DUI!
  • I am very grateful
I went my entire adult life without any run-ins with the law, but I grew up in a time that it was ok to drink and drive. I got arrested for three DUI's within a five year time frame. On the third arrest, I was looking at some real jail time, especially since I was still on probation for the second DUI. The cop told me I had blown a .15 on the breath machine. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey for help. Jared Thompson got to work on my case immediately and really put a lot of effort into my case. Mr. Thompson definitely left no stone unturned and did an excellent job. In the end, he was able to get me a reduced charge of wet and reckless and kept the DA from violating my probation. I didn't have any jail time, work release, or community service… I am very grateful because any of those things would have meant losing my job. I recommend The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey to anyone looking for dedicated and talented attorneys
  • I got my freedom.
I was on my second failure to register case. I shopped around and found out there are cheap lawyers but they are dump trucks. I needed somebody who would fight for me. Kyle Humphrey kept me out of prison and out of jail. I only did the 20 days from before I got Kyle, and then he got me credit time served and community service. I got my freedom and it was worth the money to get a good experienced well known attorney. Thank you Kyle and Jared.
  • I was totally impressed with Mr. Thompson's work .
I have a medical marijuana prescription and use marijuana occasionally for therapeutic reasons. I was recently stopped by the CHP for speeding and the officer saw one of my prescription containers inside the car. All of the sudden, the cop got really suspicious and started asking me a bunch of questions, and I told him the truth – I had smoked earlier in the day but I didn't feel any effects. The officer still pulled me out of my car and ultimately arrested me for DUI. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and met with Jared Thompson. Mr. Thompson had helped me out a few years back and was able to get some felony charges dismissed back then. Mr. Thompson listened to my case and told me that marijuana DUI's are not easy for the government to prove. He immediately explained to me that we would need to have my urine sample re-analyzed to show that the marijuana could not have been impairing my driving ability. Mr. Thompson was ready and willing to fight the case. In the end, the DUI case was dismissed, and I ended up pleading to speeding as an infraction. I was totally impressed with Mr. Thompson's work and I will refer anyone I know who gets in trouble with the law to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
  • They fought hard and treated me right.
I was involved in a motorcycle accident where my passenger was really hurt. I have been riding motorcycles a long time and I just hit some gravel on the road when my bike went down. I had a few beers before riding that day but I couldn't believe it when the CHP officer told me my blood alcohol was a .13%. I was arrested and charged with a felony DUI causing great bodily injury – a strike. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and met with Jared Thompson. He struck me as a very sincere and smart attorney and he explained to me how he was going to defend me. From that day on, I was completely pleased with how Jared handled my case. He kept fighting for me until the District Attorney was willing to make me a fair offer that I could live with. In the end, I did not have to do any jail time, I didn't have to take a strike on my record, and my charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor after one year. I had never been in trouble before and I am so thankful that I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey. They fought hard and treated me right. I will recommend Kyle and Jared to anyone who needs a great attorney.
  • I am very happy I chose to go to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey.
I got into a really bad motorcycle accident one night after I had been drinking. I suffered some serious injuries and didn't even learn that I had been arrested for DUI until months after the accident. I was really worried because I had a prior DUI a few years back. A close friend told me to go to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey based on an old case that Mr. Humphrey had helped him on. I met with Kyle Humphrey and Jared Thompson on my first visit. I felt really comfortable with them from the beginning and I knew they would work hard on my case. Mr. Thompson immediately got started on requesting records, reviewing reports, and looking at every item of evidence he could find. The reports stated that the accident was my fault and I had a .16 blood alcohol level… twice the legal limit. Despite these difficult circumstances, Mr. Thompson kept working hard for me. He was able to get the DUI reduced to a wet & reckless and I didn't get any jail time, work release, or community service. I am very happy I chose to go to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey. Mr. Thompson took some tough facts and got me a great result!
  • I wasn't expecting things to turn out as well as they did.
I was at a party one night and decided to drink. I was under 21 and hadn't had much experience drinking. It turned out to be a horrible experience. I don't remember much but know I will not drink like that again. I was arrested for DUI and resisting arrest. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and met with attorney Jared Thompson because my family heard about his DUI defense. He really calmed my nerves and made me feel like I was going to be ok. Mr. Thompson explained there were some issues with the evidence in my case and that the case was not as strong as I originally thought. I had my doubts, especially since my blood test result was .22%. Mr. Thompson never promised a result only that he would work hard for me. He did just that. Mr. Thompson was able to keep my driver's license from being suspended even though California has a zero tolerance law for under 21 DUI charges. He then went to court and was able to get the charge reduced so that I don't have a DUI conviction and will not have my license suspended. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting things to turn out as well as they did. I am especially grateful to Mr. Thompson and Mr. Humphrey's Office for the effort. I will recommend Mr. Thompson to anyone facing a DUI.
  • He is a really impressive attorney!
I was stopped one night because a CHP officer said I was weaving. I honestly didn't think I had been weaving, but the cop said I did, and he started asking me about drinking. I told him I had a few beers with dinner but felt fine. I found out that is all it takes to get arrested for DUI. I went to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey because my family is from Bakersfield and knows Mr. Humphrey's reputation. I met with attorney Jared Thompson who handles the DUI practice at Mr. Humphrey's office. He looked at the evidence and told me the officer's own patrol car camera shows I didn't weave at all. He also told me that my breath test result of .15 was inaccurate and much higher than what I was at the time of driving. Mr. Thompson filed a motion to suppress evidence based on there being no evidence supporting the stop. He confronted the officer with the video footage and the officer could not explain the reason the footage did not show my car weaving. The court ruled that the officer did not have a reason to stop my car and granted the motion. The case was dismissed! I really felt exonerated because I knew I had not been weaving. Mr. Thompson was devoted and meticulous. He is a really impressive attorney!
  • I will refer friends and family members.
The DMV wanted to take my driver's license for an entire year because I am under 21 and was stopped one night by the cops. I blew a .03% on a breath test machine, but the law is zero tolerance if you are under 21. I had only had one beer and was only stopped because one of my back lights was out. I have a really good job that requires me to drive and I knew I would lose my job if I lost my license. I went to attorney Jared Thompson at the Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey. My family and I met with him personally and he explained how he could defend me and try to save my license. I felt much better after meeting with him and my family and I hired him. It was a great decision. He was able to prevent my driver's license from being suspended and I only pled to a reduced 1-point infraction in court. Mr. Thompson saved my job and I am so happy I went to him. I will refer friends and family members to The Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey if any of them ever need great criminal defense attorneys!
  • He really worked hard and never gave up.
I went through a really difficult time in my life – just a lot of personal things happened all at once. Unfortunately, I started to use alcohol to numb my feelings, and this got me into big trouble. First, I was arrested for a DUI when I went to meet a family member for breakfast. I had a blood mary and really didn't feel intoxicated. The cops told me I had a breath alcohol level of .14%... I couldn't believe it. The officer also arrested me for resisting arrest and for carrying a billy club. The club was actually a memento baseball bat that I had made with my father. I was really scared about all these charges. I went to the Law Offices of Kyle J. Humphrey and met with Kyle and Jared Thompson. Kyle explained that Jared handles the DUI cases and is very effective in his defense of these types of cases. Jared's work throughout my case proved to be just that… very effective. He represented me at the DMV and in court. He consulted with an expert in toxicology and with my own dentist. Turns out, my permanent dentures are made of a substance that traps liquids, including alcohol. Based on all the evidence, Jared said it was clear I was below a .08 when I was driving my car. While this first case was going on, I learned that I was also being charged with vandalizing a vehicle, which I had no memory of ever doing. Jared represented me in this case too, spoke to the owner of the car that had been vandalized, and ultimately got that case dismissed entirely. As for my DUI case, Jared was ready to go to trial, but the District Attorney agreed to reduce the charge to a wet & reckless. Every other charge in both cases was dismissed. Jared did a fantastic job for me; he really worked hard and never gave up. I will recommend him to anyone that needs a great attorney.
